Situation: A company in the business of design and manufacture of custom bearings needed a supplier that could provide CNC milling / turning, grinding and heat treating to required specfiications in difficult to process, specialty alloys. The manufacturing process for specialty bearings involves extensive prototyping and subsequent redesign, so the customer also needed a supplier capable of co-ordinating with their engineering and design staff to create innovative, quality assured manufacturing solutions effectively, in a timely manner.
Problem: The customer was having difficulty finding a supplier to handle all phases of the manufacturing process under one roof. Prior to contacting DynaIndustrial, they had several groups involved, so co-ordination and quality control became a bottle-neck, causing unacceptable delays in the prototyping and manufacturing process. In addition to needing faster turn-around times, the customer required a vendor with discretion who would understand and comply with the confidentiality necessary in custom-designing, where the competitive advantage of innovation is crucial.
Solution: DynaIndustrial and our customer established a relationship that optimizes the entire process from engineering and design, to material sourcing, through to prototyping and manufacturing. We also purchased specific equipment to satisfy this customer’s production and quality demands and to process the tight tolerance requirements of precision bearing components.
We currently prototype several designs and manufacture several hundred components on a continuing monthly basis.
